This painting apparently was given to Fritz Eilers (Emma Eilers nephew) following Else Eilers death in 1949 (I suspect they were doing some house cleaning — Emma died in 1951). Like other relatives, Fritz was probably giving them away, which explains the note.
In this case, this painting must have just been completed (Emma would have been 80 in 1950) and then transported or shipped back to Salt Lake City. It was given to Ruth Christie Wright (and her husband), who were friends of Jack and Ione Pembroke (friends of Fritz and Ann Eilers).
The painting was discovered for sale in California and now resides back in the Sea Cliff Area.
